Jana Anderson and her husband, Rob, have two children--Luke (8 years old) and Grace (3 years old), who are their greatest blessings. Jana has been a stay-at-home mom and a go-to-work mom and she has experienced the challenges and blessings of both. She is currently beginning her fifth year of teaching writing and literature at LCU, having previously taught at Tyler Junior College (two years) and Abilene Christian University (seven years). When she tells people she is an English teacher, the room usually gets quiet. In her spare time, she builds with Legos, picks playdoh out of the carpet, reads small books with big pictures, checks math homework, and oversees her children's art projects, which somehow always involve permanent ink. She also loves to read, write, occasionally blog, and exercise. She depends on prayer, her own and those of others, and she views teaching as a ministry and a gift, for which she is profoundly grateful. As a self-proclaimed cracked pot, she is thankful that God's strength is made perfect in weakness. The Andersons are members of the South Plains Church of Christ, where they work in the children's and college programs.
