Master's Degree

Getting Your Master's May Be Easier Than You Think

So, you're thinking about a Master's degree? For many a Master's can be just the edge they need to advance in their fields, earn raises, or make the leap into another career.  So what are the benefits of a Master's degree and what's it going to take to earn one?

Benefits

A Master's degree is an opportunity to develop expertise in your field, or a new area you've always been interested in exploring.  In the fast-paced, competitive job market of today, a Master's degree can help you stand out from the crowd and get you the job you've always dreamed of.  Moreover, statistics show that people with Master's or Professional degrees typically make anywhere from $10,000 to $30,000 more than people with just a Bachelor's.

How long does it take to earn a Master's Degree?

Most Master's programs can be completed in two years after a Bachelor's degree.  However, with a wide range of Master's offerings LCU can cater a program to fit you exactly where you are.  Some programs, such as our Master's of Leadership are conducted through Flex Courses which offer a combination of online and weekend class sessions for working adults, while other programs may be completed through night classes, short courses, or standard on-campus offerings.

What types of Master's Degrees does LCU offer?

The most common Masters degrees are the Master of Arts (MA) and the Master of Science (MS).  Which degree you earn will depend on the program you choose to enter.  LCU offers Master's degrees in a variety of fields, from ministry to education.   Moreover, not all LCU master's degrees require a master's thesis, providing new alternative solutions for busy adults.
