How does this program differ from Christian counseling programs?
Christian Counseling programs frequently teach students how to utilize spiritual disciplines in the counseling setting and may not present all of the theories and techniques in the professional counseling field. Our program emphasizes examining the theories and techniques of professional counseling from a Christian Worldview rather than emphasizing the integration of spiritual disciplines into counseling sessions. Students first learn the skills, theories and methods of counseling and then cross-examine what they learn from a Christian perspective.
