The humanities, history, English, and technical communication degrees offered by our department prepare students for a lifetime of learning. From diverse perspectives across the disciplines, students develop skills as creative and critical thinkers, readers, and writers.

Research shows that employers and graduate schools value students with a strong foundation in a wide range of disciplines, and the liberal arts degrees within the humanities department provide such a solid grounding. At the end of their careers at LCU, humanities students (whether they major in humanities,history, English, or Technical Communication) are well prepared for the world of work or graduate school.
