Personal Info

Originally from Midlothian, Texas, Anna is pursuing her doctor of musical arts degree at Texas Tech University in clarinet performance where she serves as the Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Clarinet Studio under the tutelage of David Shea. She also directs and conducts the Texas Tech Clarinet Choir. She holds a bachelor of music degree in music education from the University of North Texas, where she studied with Deborah Fabian and a masters degree in clarinet performance from Texas Tech University.

Prior to beginning her studies at Texas Tech, Anna held a private clarinet studio in north Fort Worth for several years and served yearly as a TMEA Region and Area judge. She is currently an avid teacher of both middle school and high school students in Lubbock and teaches the clarinetists in the Youth Orchestra of Lubbock.

An active performer, Anna has performed and recorded many works for wind ensemble as a part of the North Texas Wind Symphony. She currently performs frequently with the Texas Tech Graduate Woodwind Quintet and the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra.

With a fervent dedication to quality of education, community, and the development of new music, Anna has performed in chamber music recitals, public school concerts, outreach programs, clarinet masterclasses and workshops, and new music concerts.

In her free time, Anna enjoys yoga, running, fantastic friends, and spending time with her husband Travis and her dog Lohengrin.
