ENACTUS (formerly SIFE)

LCU ENACTUS, formerly known as SIFE, is an international non-profit organization that brings together student, academic, and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. As members of ENACTUS, students are led by advisors and business experts to create and implement community empowerment projects to promote the Free Enterprise economic system right here in Lubbock.

The LCU ENACTUS team meets every Friday and is involved in many entrepreneurial and educational activities throughout the year, such as:

  • Freshmen Financial Slam Jam – a financial literacy seminar for incoming freshmen
  • The Sam’s Club Step Up For Small Business Grant- Small business growth assistance
  • Irons Middle School Entrepreneur Fair – In partnership with Ogallala Commons
  • Kenyan Shoe Project – entrepreneurial assistance in Kenya developing a market for hand-made Kenyan sandals.

The new Chap Saver App, is a creation of LCU ENACTUS students. The app is free and is designed to save consumers money. The app is a tool for businesses to connect with their customer base and generate new customers and increase revenue. The app will generate operating funds for developing more ways to promote and support free enterprise.
