Recent LCU graduate, Tabitha Sportsman, poured her heart into LCU and said she has been exceedingly blessed because of it. While at LCU, Tabitha focused on her studies as an Art Education major and involved herself in many activities.
Tabitha’s success in her education led her to be inducted into the Alpha Chi Honors Society and she became a member of the Student Art Education Association to further enrich her education.
Being a natural leader, she served as president of the women’s social club, Zeta Gamma, from 2012-2013, and she also served as an orientation leader. Tabitha also played on the women’s junior varsity soccer team and her spunky spirit made her a perfect member of the Chap Brigade.
Not only was Sportsman voted Homecoming Queen her senior year, she was also one of the three candidates for Ms. LCU. In Tabitha’s interview for Ms. LCU, school pride and excitement in receiving a diploma that indicates she is a Lubbock Christian University trained educator could be heard in her voice.
Tabitha was voted Ms. LCU shortly after her interview was conducted.
Tabitha said the relationships she made at LCU through activities was rewarding.
"Here I have developed relationships deeper than I ever imagined," Tabitha expressed. "I have poured my heart and soul into LCU, and I have been astronomically blessed because of it. Not only did I receive a diploma, I have received preparation for life. I am the woman I am today because of my relationships at LCU and the experiences I had here."
