Lubbock Christian University and Wayland Baptist University
- April 4, 2014: LCU and Wayland Choirs plan to perform Haydn's Nelson Mass, McDonald-Moody Auditorium, 7:30 PM. Free Admission.
LCU and Wayland Choirs plan to combine forces to perform the Nelson Mass of Franz Joseph Haydn, for SATB chorus, SATB soloists, and orchestra. The performances will be conducted by Dr. Philip Camp, LCU Director of Choral Activities, and Dr. Hyung Chae, Wayland Baptist University Director of Choral Studies and Church Music. The concerts will take place on April 4 in the McDonald-Moody Auditorium, and on April 5 at Wayland Baptist University.
LCU and Wayland Choirs have combined efforts in previous years to perform major choral works with orchestra. Previous performances have included Mozart's Solemn Vespers, K. 339, Mark Hayes' Te Deum, and the Coronation Anthems of George Frideric Handel.
This project is supported in part by a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts, and in part through a grant from the City of Lubbock as recommended by Civic Lubbock, Inc.

On April 15, 2010, the LCU and Wayland Choirs combined forces to present the Lubbock premier of Te Deum by Mark Hayes, conducted by Dr. Philip Camp.
In 2008, the choirs combined forces to present Mozart’s Solemn Vespers, K. 339.
