Personal Info

I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to teach Information Systems classes at Lubbock Christian University. LCU is a very nurturing and supportive environment. I can only hope to be able to teach my students a small fraction of what I am learning from them and the other faculty and staff here every day.

Over the past twenty years, I have been blessed to have the opportunity to see the field of Information Systems from a number of different perspectives.
I learned the importance of contingency planning as a student operator at Abilene Christian University doing the important work of backing up the university's computer systems to very large tapes.
I graduated from ACU in 1989 with undergraduate degrees in Business Management and Information Systems.
I learned the dangers of the "Fast Track" as a Staff Consultant for Andersen Consulting, Arthur Andersen & Co.,S.C. (now Accenture) in Dallas, Texas.
I learned the importance of testing computer programs as a Programmer/Analyst for the Employee Benefits department of the Tandy Corporation (now Radio Shack Corporation) in Ft. Worth, Texas.
I learned the importance of training as a Lead Programmer/Analyst for Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas.
I discovered I loved teaching as a Technology Training Specialist at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
I graduated from Baylor in 2003 with my Masters of Science in Information Systems (M.S.I.S).
I got my first taste at teaching at the University level as an Information Systems Lecturer (Part Time Adjunct) at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
I found my calling as an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas.

When I'm not working or studying, I try to spend time with my wonderful family. My wife, Karen, and I have five children, and we find that simply making sure everyone is in the right place all the time can be a full-time job.

If you have any questions about LCU or the Information Systems programs here, please feel free to send me an e-mail.
