James Jarrell received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech School of Law. Prior to that, he received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech University. James has been in private practice of law in Amarillo, Houston and currently Lubbock from 1974 through the present. His practice areas include plaintiff's personal injury, civil trial, employment law, social security disability claims and criminal defense. James is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association, the Lubbock Country Bar Association, the South Plains Trial Lawyers Association, the National Association of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR), and a fellow in the College of the State Bar of Texas. He is the past president and current director of the Kiwanis Club of Lubbock. He is also a member, and current secretary of the Parenting Cottage.
