Jessica Rogers teaches freshman and sophomore level chemistry lectures and labs and supervises the lab assistants and preparation for all of the chemistry labs. Jessica Rogers came to LCU in 2004 to be the lab supervisor and is now a full time faculty member. Her passion is teaching. Teaching chemistry here is a great avenue for that love. Who doesn't love to mix things up, make things happen, and start a little fire every once in a while! Her area of interest and research lies in improving chemical education. She is very passionate about student learning in the lab. She wants students to be successful and learn more than just chemistry while they are in labs at LCU. She has been writing and rewriting her own lab manuals in order to increase the intellectual involvement of her students. Rogers has written the lab manuals used for General Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry Labs .

Jessica is married to Toby Rogers, Exercise and Sport Sciences professor and Dean of the B. Ward Lane College of Professional Studies. They have three wonderful sons, Coby, Zack and Josh. Mrs Rogers loves being mom to those boys. Her background is in education and she thoroughly enjoys teaching chemistry here at her alma mater.
