Big Blue Family Christmas

Hundreds Enjoy the Big Blue Family ChristmasDec. 6, 2013

A beautifully cool winter evening without any breeze was the back drop for Lubbock Christian University’s first Big Blue Family Christmas. Approximately 800 to 1,000 people attended the evening filled with hand-on activities for children, fellowship and socializing around the hot apple cider and hot chocolate tables, all with an outdoor showing of a Christmas movie in the background. Families lined up to have their pictures taken with both Santa Claus and the Grinch, while others stood around camp fires to roast marshmallows.

LCU President Tim Perrin welcomed the crowd and announced the beginning of a new Christmas tradition. Following his address, the LCU musical group Forte sang Christmas carols as lights were illuminated signaling the beginning of the Christmas season on the campus.

The Big Blue Family Christmas was a heart-warming success for our guests and there is already plans being made to continue the event, making it an annual tradition for the LCU and Lubbock community.
