LEED Platinum Rating: Cardwell Welcome Center

Awarded By: The U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)

The Cardwell Welcome Center sits at the front of the campus and is the first building seen by LCU guests.  It has been awarded the highest rating the council grants for many eco-friendly details including ground source heat pumps, light harvesting, and double-pane glass.

TWC places some 1500-2000 students in internships each year, coming from over 450 colleges and universities, including public institutions, as well as private institutions. Each year TWC executives and staff select one public and one private school to honor as “the best.” Read the LCU article.
