Randal Dement

Relationship building, the ability to ask good questions, and a sense of humor give Randal Dement ('89) a variety of tools that make him well equipped for his role in Student Affairs.  His team is responsible for everything that affects LCU students beyond the classroom - their physical health, their mental health, their involvement on campus, and their security as well as the housing and meals for resident students.

Randal has served the university by building relationships with friends of the university as a development officer and as Director of Alumni.  He has also served as Dean of Students and currently provides leadership for the Student Affairs team as Assistant Vice President.  

Randal and Sherry ('86) served as live in parents for Katie Rogers Hall from 2005-2007 where they mentored the young residents through the myriad of routine life challenges faced by young college students.  

The Dements live in Sundown where Sherry is a first grade teacher and Calvin and Max attend Sundown Elementary School.
