Federal Family Education Loan Update:

The student loan industry has experienced many changes over the past year.  Several lenders have decided to change their participation in this program.  Changes range from temporarily suspending participation to permanently exiting one or more of the following loan programs:  Stafford, PLUS, Consolidation and Alternative.  The LCU Financial Assistance Office is dedicated to helping you with your educational loan needs. 

Student and parent borrowers must choose their own lender.  You may choose any lender that participates in the Federal Family Education Loan Programs, whether or not they are included on the Lender List.  The Financial Assistance Office at Lubbock Christian University evaluates the Lender List on an annual basis using the following criteria which we deem valuable in the lender selection process:  customer service and support, default rate and default aversion.  Potential borrowers are encouraged to compare loan terms and conditions prior to selecting their lender.

The following is a list of lending institutions that will make Federal Stafford Student Loans and/or Federal Parent PLUS Loans to any eligible student from Lubbock Christian University. LCU is using electronic transfer of loan funds for all lenders who participate in EFT. Many lenders offer electronic signatures for first-time borrowers. Please check their website for the most current information.
