Admission to Lubbock Christian University is dependent upon previous education, character, and the desire to attend a Christian university. Those applicants who qualify for admission are accepted without regard to race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, or disabled condition. All students who apply to Lubbock Christian University must be willing to uphold the values and ideals of the university.
Prospective students and their parents are invited and encouraged to visit the campus. Campus tours may be arranged at the convenience of visitors. Class visitations and conferences with professors may also be arranged.
The Admissions Office is open Monday-Thursday 8:00 - 5:00, Friday 8:00 - 12:00 and at other times by appointment.

General Admissions Requirements

Unconditional Admission
First-time freshmen
- Score 18 or higher on the ACT or a combined score of 860 or higher on critical reading and math on the SAT
- Are graduates of an accredited high school, completed a home school secondary curriculum,, or passed the General Education Development (GED) with a minimum average score of 45
Transfer students with 15 or fewer hours of college credit
- Score 18 or higher on the ACT or a combined score of 860 or higher on critical reading and math on the SAT
- Are graduates of an accredited high school, completed a home school secondary curriculum, or passed the General Education Development (GED) with a minimum average score of 45
Transfer students with 16 or more credit hours, in good academic standing, and who meet all the requirements
- Grade point average for good academic standing
- 1.70 for 1-29 hours
- 1.90 for 30-59 hours
- 2.10 for 60-89 hours
- 2.25 for 90 hours and above
Conditional Admission
- Beginning freshman who score between 15-17 on the ACT (or 710-850 on the combined score of critical reading and math on the SAT). Students who score 14 or below on the ACT (or 700 or below on the combined score of critical reading and math on the SAT) will not be admitted for the fall or spring semesters.
- Transfer students with 15 or fewer hours of credit from an accredited college or university who score between 15-17 on the ACT (or 710-850 on the combined score of critical reading and math on the SAT). Work done in a non-accredited junior or senior college may not be accepted.
- Transfer students with 16 or more hours of credit from an accredited college or university who have earned a cumulative grade point average less than good academic standing may appeal for special admission.
In order to ensure success, students granted conditional admission are admitted with the following conditions.
- Enrollment in no more than 14 semester hours
- Agreement to visit with their academic advisor at least twice during the first semester of enrollment
- Adherence to all instructors’ attendance policies
- Limited extracurricular activities as recommended by their advisor.
- No participation in a university traveling group or Master Follies
- In good academic standing after completion of first semester of enrollment
Special Admission
Persons who do not meet general admission requirements may appeal to the admissions committee for special admission.
