Who has to live on campus?

Full-time, single undergraduate students who have been out of high school less than four long semesters (two years), are required to live in campus housing. Students may submit a petition to live off campus if they meet one of the following criteria:
- The student lives with an adult member of his/her immediate family (immediate family is defined as a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, legal guardian, or sibling who is 21 or older).
- Medical reasons documented by a physician.
A petition to live off campus must be submitted every semester until the student has been out of high school for four long semesters (two years). Part-time students and upperclassmen are allowed to live in campus housing only as space permits. Financial hardships are not considered as possible exemptions to the campus housing policy.
What is the visitation policy?

On a yearly basis, residents in each residence hall will have the opportunity to vote for the visitation policy of their choice.
During visitation periods, visitors will sign in and out; residents who have guests will leave their doors open; and RA’s will be required to monitor the halls. The Dean of Campus Life reserves the right to withdraw visitation privileges for all residents at any time.
Residents in Katie Rogers and Johnson Hall have visitation as listed below:
Katie Rogers Hall: Every Saturday night, from 7:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.
Johnson Hall: Every Friday night, from 7:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.
Residents in the Living Center and Courtyard have as listed below:
- Courtyard - Visitors will be allowed in residents’ rooms every day of the week, from 6:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. Note: Each Courtyard reserves the right to take a house vote in order to reduce the number of visitation hours each week.
- Living Center: Visitors will be allowed in residents’ rooms every day of the week, from 6:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.
Residents are permitted to have overnight guests of the same sex upon approval by the resident’s roommate and the hall supervisor. Guests cannot stay longer than three nights. All visitors, regardless of gender, must be escorted by a resident at all times. No one under the age of 16 is permitted to spend the night during the school term.
Will I have curfew?

Freshmen are required to be in the residence hall by 1:00 a.m. every night. Eligible sophomores, juniors, and seniors do not have a curfew. However, the University cautions all residents against staying out past 1:00 a.m. Residents do so at their own risk.
