Zephaniah 2:3 Seek the LORD, all you humble of the land…Seek righteousness, seek humility
Psalm 35:13 …I put on sackcloth and humbled myself with fasting.
James 4:6 God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.
Jer. 29:11-14 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD.

Vision:

What if we as a university, faculty, staff, administration and students did this? What if we humbled ourselves, prayed with passion, seeking God? How would He heal us?
Mission:

Becoming A People Of Prayer as we seek God's will for our university.
"God is not concerned with men and women of standing, but with men and women of kneeling." Rick Atchley
"The church's greatest advances have been the result of prayer. …Wesley Duewel commented, 'God has tried to teach us that if we are willing to get along with minimum prayer He will send minimal blessing.' …What we really need is not more money to finance our programs but more urgent and vital praying. The kind of prayer we need is not simply the habitual roll call of the sick, nor the two-minute drill of repetitious phrases heard so often in our assemblies. What is urgent in the church today is the kind of prayer that seeks the face of God. We need agonizing, closet praying-all night vigils of sweetness in the presence of our Father."
Goals:

- A renewed sense of humility among us all leading us to cry out to God for his presence on our campus and in our lives.
- Full participation by faculty, staff and students. God said, "If MY PEOPLE…" He did not say "If some of my people…"
- Not an effort to manipulate God, rather to humble ourselves before him. The power is not in our mechanics, rather of God as he responds to our humble, earnest prayers.
- Multiple points of prayer around campus, but also a central point of prayer and presence. Our prayer - God's presence.
- An ongoing chain of community prayer & fasting by faculty/staff/administration and students
- A heightened awareness of what God is doing among us.
