ACT: ACT is administered at LCU on most national test dates. A residual ACT exam is given once each semester for students who would like to improve their scores or who have not taken the national exam. Residual exam scores may not be transferred to another institution, and scores are not applicable for athletic scholarships or eligibility.
CAAP: Beginning fall 2003, all new students are required to take the CAAP exam. CAAP measures competency in the core courses and is required before taking upper division classes. Students should take the CAAP exam the semester they anticipate completing their core requirements, or after completing 60 hours.
CAAP is offered in the UNI 2000 course. Students should enroll in UNI 2000 to take the CAAP exam.
CLEP: Do you want to speed up your college career and earn college credit at a reduced price? Have you already accumulated knowledge equivalent to that in the freshman college classroom? If so, you may want to consider CLEP testing. For $85 per CLEP test, you can receive 3-14 hours of college credit.
THEA:
- If you are an education major, you must take the THEA prior to admission to the education certification program.
- If you enrolled at LCU prior to fall 2003, THEA is a graduation requirement.
THEA is offered at LCU in March and April on designated Saturdays. Practice tests are available at: http://www.thea.nesinc.com/practice.htm. Registration forms are available in the testing office or register on-line at http://www.thea.nesinc.com
DANTES: DANTES exams are given only to LCU’s Organizational Management majors. Students must pay for the exam before ordering, and they must schedule a time to take the exam with the testing director.
