Biblical Languages - An intensive study of Greek and Hebrew designed to improve the students understanding of the Biblical text. Students interested in graduate work or preaching find this degree appealing.
Biblical Text - An intensive study of the Biblical text, primarily in English designed to improve the students comprehensive of the teaching of the Bible. Students interested in teaching, preaching, ministry, and graduate studies will pursue this degree.
Missions - This degree emphasizes ministry in the context of international, domestic, and urban missions. Students interested in missions or church planting will tend to pursue this degree.
Preaching - This degree emphasizes the pastoral skills necessary to preach and lead a congregation in current society. This degree will emphasize textual studies and ministry skills. Students interested in preaching and leading established congregations will pursue this degree.
Youth and Family Ministry - This degree emphasizes serving families and adolescents in the church context. Students will combine ministry skills, Biblical Studies, and adolescents studies to provide them a basis for serving families. Students who are interested in serving a youth ministers, children's ministers, or Christian counselors tend to pursue this degree.
Emphases:
Campus Ministry - Students may choose an emphasis in campus ministry. The student will major in one of the five degrees offered, but will emphasize campus ministry. This emphasis will prepare the student to serve as a campus minister on secular and Christian college campuses. This degree is offered with extended interships and experience with the campus ministries at LCU and Texas Tech.
Worship Ministry - Students may choose an emphasis in worship ministry. The student will major in the one of the five degrees offered, but will emphasize worship ministry. The student will gain the necessary skills to serve as a minister in a church setting, but will also study music, arranging, and other skills necessary to lead worship.
Graduate Degrees

Master of Arts in Biblical Interpretation - 36 hour non-thesis degree
This graduate degree is designed primarily to encourage study of the Biblical text. Students are required to have two years of undergraduate Greek or one year of graduate Greek to enter this degree. Each class is offered as a 3-hour credit. This degree may be earned either on-campus or online with 3 campus visits in one week short courses.

You do not need any previous Biblical education to enter this degree. Each class is offered as a 3-hour credit. This degree may be earned either on-campus or online with 3 campus visits with one week short courses.

Master of Divinity - 84 hour non-thesis degree
This degree is designed to the primary ministerial and theology education available to ministers and students. The degree exposes the student to a broad range of subjects that properly equip that person for ministry. It is also considered the standard preparation for Ph.D. or D.Min. work. You do not need any previous Biblical education to enter this degree. Each class is offered as a 3-hour credit. This degree may be earned on-campus or online with 6 campus visits in one week short courses.
