The very first chapel service at Lubbock Christian University was held on the morning of September 24, 1957. The 50th opening chapel service for the university was held on Monday, August 21, 2006 at 9:40am in the newly renovated McDonald Moody Auditorium.

Chapel is one of the longest standing traditions at LCU and alumni was cordially invited to join us in invoking God’s blessing on the beginning of the 50th year of Lubbock Christian University. A reception followed chapel to provide an opportunity for all of us to begin celebrating the rich heritage that we share.
